Local PR services for a major national restaurant chain
As part of our ongoing work with Cross Keys Shopping Centre, we were tasked with a local PR launch for their highly-anticipated newest addition, the popular Korean-Japanese restaurant Kokoro.
This project spanned several months, from the confirmation of Kokoro’s arrival in Salisbury right through to opening and reviews. Alongside our regular social media and Google Ads marketing campaigns for the shopping centre, we felt that a bespoke PR approach would really create the impact and reach that this exciting new addition to Salisbury deserved.
The brief
Landon Marketing and Design have worked with Cross Keys Shopping Centre since 2024, with the primary goal to increase local awareness of their many fantastic shops and restaurants. The opening of a much-loved national chain at Cross Keys felt like the ideal opportunity to really put the shopping centre on the map, and build some local buzz around their new addition.
Our creative solution
Using our existing connections with local press, we crafted a bespoke PR campaign to get Kokoro seen in as many mediums as possible in the lead up to launch. This began with a teaser announcement in Autumn 2024, which was covered by several local publications and received hundreds of interactions from excited local foodies. In the week prior to opening we ensured that momentum was building with a press release, getting local people talking once more, so that the final opening date was received with huge anticipation.
The result
Through our targeted local campaign, we were able to amplify the messaging of Kokoro much further than standard digital marketing channels.
Trusted local publications added their voice to the buzz, and created quality photography and video content to support their own coverage. Knowing their own audiences, the reach and engagement of their promotions was strong across both online and print readership as well as social media. For a relatively low spend, our client got the maximum coverage for this exciting local story.
